OVERVIEW
The challenge was to design an animated advertisement for an existing company of our choice synchronizing movement with audio.

PROCESS
I chose Spotify as I really enjoyed their 2019 campaign with the tagline "Music for Every Mood", inspired by social media meme culture.  The ads refer to the difference between our aspirations and declarations, and how our moods are reflected by the music we listen to. The campaign had two sets of creative work, one intended for Spotify's mature markets and another set for emerging markets.

I chose the song Don't Lose Your Cool by Louis Matters and focused on millennials as my target audience. For the color palette, I went with vibrant and high contrast colors, and kept a simple and bold sans-serif for the typeface. I then brainstormed several ideas for the message of the advertisement and landed on "have the same self control as the person who listened to Don't Lose Your Cool 52 times in a day" as it was on brand with the meme campaign. I then animated each line of text to appear in sync with the beats of the song.
